Home Visits

Doctor's bagHome visits are for people too ill or disabled to come to surgery. Requests should be made between 8:00am and 10:00am to enable the doctors to plan their day.

If at all possible please try to attend surgery where better facilities are available for your treatment. Children in particular can often be seen quicker by being brought to surgery where they will be fitted in as soon as possible.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
